ORLANDO, Fla. (USA) — Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) and SimCentric Technologies (SimCentric) are excited to announce a new agreement extending their long-term partnership. Both companies have enjoyed a successful relationship since early 2008 producing complementary technologies in the Desktop Training and Joint Fires Training domains. This new agreement further extends this relationship.
Under the agreement, BISim will no longer act as a reseller for SimCentric joint fires software. SimCentric will be directly responsible for the sale, maintenance and support of this software as well as ongoing concurrency with new releases of VBS3. To reflect this change, SimCentric has renamed its joint fires training products. VBS3Fires FST will be renamed to FiresFST™, and VBS3Fires will be renamed to FiresIDF™. The capability, compatibility and functionality of these products remain unchanged.
One key goal of the new arrangement for both companies is minimizing disruption for existing customers. Support and updates to major and Enterprise accounts will remain unchanged with BISim remaining the primary point of contact whilst other customers will be transitioned to SimCentric at an appropriate future date. For existing customers with any questions or concerns, please contact your BISim representative.
The companies continue to be closely aligned in their vision to enable flexible, high value and high-quality simulation-based training and expect to continue to work closely together in future.
