BISim Extends its Free License Support and Waives EULA Restrictions to Facilitate Remote Working Until Mid-2021

Dec 16, 2020

ORLANDO, Fla. (USA) — With work-from-home requirements and social distancing restrictions expected to continue in the new year, Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim) is extending its offer of free licenses to Government customers and extending waivers of EULA restrictions on the use of non-military computers on non-military premises until the middle of 2021.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, BISim supported customers with free 90-day licenses for conducting distributed virtual simulation training using VBS3 and VBS4 and then extended this offer to the end of 2020.

To date, BISim has provided over 600 free licenses of its products to customers for remote working in 2020.

“We’re happy to see so many customers have taken advantage of this offer in 2020 and want to continue helping them stay productive and safe in 2021,” said Arthur Alexion, BISim’s CEO. “Our aim is to make customers’ work easier and we’re doing that not just through offering free temporary licenses and EULA waivers, but also by offering free webinars again in 2021 and enhancing the user-friendly software capabilities of our flagship product VBS4.”

For customers to implement flexible and agile solutions for distributed virtual training, they may need to use Virtual Private Network (VPN) technologies and work from non-military premises and even on non-military computers. Therefore, in addition to free licenses, we have also waived the VBS3 and VBS4 End User License Agreement (EULA) restrictions on the use of non-military computers on non-military premises, and the use of remote desktop environments through mid-2021*.

For the issue or extension of these temporary licences, please contact support@bisimulations.com or your normal BISim point of contact.

* Subject to the following conditions: (i) applicable to Government Licensees only, (ii) for use by personnel of the Government Licensee only (including use on PCs or laptops located at the homes of the Government Licensee’s personnel), and (iii) time-limited until 30 June 2021. All of these conditions must be met by the Government Licensee for this temporary variation of usual licensing terms to apply. Except as temporarily varied, all terms and conditions of the BISim EULA(s) for the relevant BISim products continue to apply.
