Rotterdam, 2023 - - Bohemia Interactive Simulations (BISim), a global developer of advanced military simulation and training software, will be exhibiting at IT²EC 2023 at booth #C11. BISim will showcase demos of its simulation products, highlighting the latest features and capabilities. BISim is introducing its new physics-based thermal imaging simulation in VBS.This advanced technology will unlock new training use cases, offering one of the most realistic sensor views ever available in military simulation. IT²EC attendees will be the first to experience a preview of this new feature.
BISim is proud to be an official reseller of Blackshark.ai's high-fidelity terrain data in both VBS4 and VBS Blue IG. Blackshark.ai is a leading developer of procedurally refined geo-specific terrain data. Its cutting-edge technology is used to populate the Earth in well-known games such as Microsoft Flight Simulator. At IT²EC, attendees can view Blackshark.ai's data firsthand and discuss how this step-change in procedurally generated terrain can be leveraged to enhance their training simulations.
New AI is coming to VBS! VBS Control AI has continued to evolve over the past two years, and in the latest VBS4 release, it is getting a significant upgrade. This industry-leading AI will directly and positively impact VBS administrators by providing reliable and responsive military AI that should reduce the need for human roleplayers. BISim invites the IT²EC attendees to learn more and see a demonstration of the new behaviours.

VBS4 23.1 (sneak peek of the latest VBS4 version) - BISim will be showcasing the latest features of VBS4, BISim’s flagship product. VBS4 is an easy-to-use, whole-earth virtual and constructive simulation and simulation host that fully supports a vast range of military-specific training and mission rehearsal use cases. Visitors will see demonstrations of new damage charring, new electronic warfare capabilities, VBS Radio enhancements, a new mission briefing system, and more feature upgrades available in version 23.1 of VBS4.
VBS Blue IG - BISim will demonstrate the latest VBS Blue IG, which includes all the rendering improvements of VBS4 and multiple performance enhancements. The demonstration will highlight significant advances in CIGI standard support, including the support for CIGI 4.0 for the first time and comprehensive support for previous CIGI versions 3.0 - 3.3.
Mantle ETM - BISim’s terrain experts - TerraSim - will be demonstrating the art of the possible in using the Mantle ETM platform to build a custom terrain pipeline perfectly matched to the needs of any sophisticated simulated terrain user. The demo will show a pipeline set up to store, serve, enhance and correlate CDB, 3D Tiles, Unreal and VBS formats. The BISim team can explain how this can be expanded to any other desired formats and how it can be integrated with customers’ existing terrain data and workflow.
